OptiPro is a high quality bypass protein ingredient designed for feeding to all ruminants when extra DUP is required. OptiPro is an important nutritional tool for enhancing animal performance.

OptiPro - What is it?

OptiPro is a combination of selected protein sources that are designed to address both DUP requirements and the needs for certain essential amino acids, especially Methionine and Lysine. Ingredients include HiPro Soya, Full Fat Soya and Concentrated Cereal Proteins. These proteins are processed by the application of a key supplement containing selected reducing sugars and mineral salts. When these are subject to conditions of high temperature, pressure, moisture and abrasion in our production process they combine with key sites on the protein and change their physical form. This change in physical form radically reduces release in the rumen whilst enhancing digestion in the more extreme conditions in the lower gut.

OptiPro - In practice

OptiPro is provided as either a bulk feed ingredient or in 25kg bags to be fed at t/2 to 2 kg per cow per day or up to'/4 kg per ewe to provide the required level of DUP supplementation in all diets. Optipro is suitable for feeding to all ruminants and is particularly valuable in dairy diets, ewe feeds and starter diets for both calves and lambs.

OptiPro can be incorporated into a bespoke Vitalmix solution for each individual farmer. A Vitalmix can be a bespoke mineral Vitalmin) plus OptiPro or a bespoke combination of mineral, buffer, protected fat, amino acids, concentrated protein sources, specialist energy sources plus OptiPro or anything in between. OptiPro can be supplied via the compound feed used in parlour.
