Heygates LACTAPRO is a high performance feed ideally suited to complement mixed
forage diets. LACTAPRO utilises the unique sugar lactose, as an energy source,
this has a much more controlled fermentation compared to any other sugar. The
protein source in LACTAPRO supplied by a regulated release complex. The combination
of these products provides a stable rumen environment and more efficient dietary
protein utilisation. This can result in higher dry matter intakes as well as improvements
in both yield and milk compositional quality.
LACTAPRO 200
This product contains 20% protein and is ideally suited to be fed along side grass
silage. It will provide a source of fermentable energy and rumen degradable protein
to complement grass silages of variable quality. It can also be used as a forage
extender where winter forage is in short supply.

LACTAPRO 300
This product contains 30% protein and is ideally suited to diets that contain
maize and whole crop cereal silage at 50% or above the total forage in the ration.
The rumen degradable protein within LACTAPRO 300 complements the fermentable energy
supplied by the starch from maize or whole crop cereal silage increasing the feeding
value of these forages.

FEEDING LEVELS
Level of feeding can vary from up to 5 Kgs for LACTAPRO 200 and up to 3 Kgs for
LACTAPRO 300.
AVAILABILITY AND STORAGE
LACTAPRO is available in bulk tipped loads. Deliveries of bulk LACTAPRO should
be
tipped in a clean area and protected from contamination and rainfall by covering
with a
weighted down polythene sheet. The product should then be used within a 60 day
period.
