Greensile
Greensile is designed for very young, leafy grass which is low in fibre. A rapid pH drop is achieved with the two strains of acidifying bacteria. Greensile contains: Pediococcus pentasaceus and Lactobacillus plantarum along with special sugars. Enzymes are not included as they convert fibre to sugar. With very young, high sugar grass the fibre is needed for milk production. In this situation the farmer will not benefit from converting fibre into sugar in the pit. It will be the fibre in its original form which will help to promote milk production and better rumen function. There is no better additive for the specific situation described above. |
